this pic is bad but i don't feel like a fool trying to snap pics with my phone. today i'm watching the screening of star trek. i heard this movie is good. i'm still sleepy. the movie doesn't start until 11 am. you have to be here early if you want to get in. happy saturday!

this is one of the lines i waited in. i sent brian over there after work to stand in line. he waited for hrs before i got off work. x-men was so worth the wait. we sat in the cine capri. tomorrow we will be seeing star trek. sorry for the crappy phone pics. mobile blogging gets a bit tricky. tgif!

FWD:

This is my snack. i am hungry and couldn't wait for lunch. today brian and i are watching a screening of next day air. i'm not sure when this movie comes out, but hopefully it is funny. tomorrow i'll be watching x-men origins. hopefully brian and i can into the theatre since these screenings are first come first serve.

we went to go eat at that las vegas style buffet last friday, and all i got to say is that was some nasty crap! they had a variety of dishes, but every dish i sampled tasted like it was sweetened. they also had all you can eat crab legs and people were going over there and packing/piling those crab legs onto their plates. it was so gross to see. i was so disappointed that we wasted money on an overly priced yucky restaurant. it is a fairly new restaurant out in peoria, but i will never, ever step foot in that place again.

brian's birthday was another social mess. i didn't want to talk about it in my last post because i was still angry. all i have to say is that if you mix natives, alcohol, and people you will more than likely have to face drama! some people just cannot handle alcohol or should i say that they do not know when to stop drinking without making a fool of themselves. i swear, i actually felt like i was having flashbacks from highschool. if you start crying and slurring then you know that person just had way too much! i hope i don't have to ever go through that again. that is all i have to say about that.....hmmmph!

brian and i got back from watching a prescreening of pink panther 2. i'm not sure when this movie is actually coming out, but we went to go see it at the tempe marketplace. last week, we went to see the uninvited at the cine capri before that was supposed to come out too. i love watching special prescreenings especially when they are totally free! i will probably see friday the 13th and the international before they come out in movie theatres also. such a cool thing when you got the hook up!

bummer! i practically yelled like a crazy fool this evening. i'm not a football fan, but tonight was really interesting. my husband and i were for the arizona cardinals. they really had a chance at winning the super bowl tonight. its too bad, but at least they tried their best and they actually got to the super bowl.
yesterday was brian's 31st birthday. i baked peach cake and made beans with pigs feet (hamhocks) and some navajo fry bread. it was his birthday dinner request, so i had to respect his wishes and this is what i made for his birthday. he tells me that his grandmother used to make him this and he had a craving for some.

haha! i bet everyone is familiar with this cops video. i used to attend high school with him. his name is steven, but i think they called him 'sugar'.

we've been having some really shitty weather here. one day it got up to 80 degrees and then the next day it's cold as hell. right now i'm sitting on my bed freezing my ass off. my dog is snoring so loud too. she sleeps on her dog bed on the floor. she is such a brat. my cat sleeps either on our legs our next to our feet. sometimes during the night i feel myself kicking her off. hehehe! i'm not sure when i'm getting to bed tonight. it surely is way past my bed time. i can feel tomorrow is going to be one shitty day. my coworker took the day off to attend a birthday party on the rez. when she is gone it is up to me to do her job as well as mine.

tomorrow is friday. brian and i usually make it a point to try and go out to eat on friday nights. last friday, we ate at a korean restaurant. brian had some kalbi and i felt like eating soup, so i ordered some bean paste soup and then to top it off we also had some korean pancake. i felt like such a freaking pig. i'm not sure where we are going to go tomorrow. i heard about some las vegas style buffet that opened up in peoria not too long ago. we might have to try that out tomorrow, but i'm still not too sure. i have a craving for some seafood. well, i better try and get ready for bed. good night!

this picture was taken in korea of course. don't you wish you were born a cat. i thought this was so cute!

happy new year! It's been a long time since i last posted. i don't like sitting in front of the computer. i sit at a computer all day at work and it really makes me not want to sit at a computer when i get home. i spend most of my time now running/walking on the treadmill, watching my recorded shows on the dvr, working out with wii fit, taking my dog on walks and basically just trying to keep myself active.
Nothing much really is going on currently in my life. it is the same routine 7 days a week. the weekdays are dedicated to going to work, coming back from work at the end of the day, cooking dinner/getting take out, excercising and catching up on recorded shows on the dvr. the weekend is when brian and i can roam. we usually treat our selves to a new restaurant or even a favorite. sometimes we go to the movies, roam goodwill/yard sales, go to the mall and shop or visit friends or family. it is basically the same routine probably 365 days a year. haha! we have no children so we are basically free to do as we wish. our only babies are my cat and dog.
next week is brian's 31st birthday. i am planning on cooking for him. i think we have been eating out too much lately so he requested home cooked food for his birthday. i'm not sure exactly what i am going to make. i am leaning more towards navajo tacos. we haven't had that in ages. i have this wonderful bbq that has a burner. i don't ever have to make frybread in the kitchen again! how awesome is that? i dislike how the wafting smell of burnt grease can get into every thing you own. i don't have that problem anymore. hey, speaking of fry bread, about 2 weeks ago a coworker and i were coming back from lunch and we saw this new eatery called the sacred hogan. they are located on 8th street and indian school. i think it is navajo owned, but i'm not too sure. they serve mutton and several other navajo cuisine there so i don't doubt that it is navajo owned, but anyway i thought that was cool to see since it is probably the first in phoenix. i've tried their frybread and it is very good!
well, my eyes are getting pretty dry sitting here so i will leave here with a few more photos

This was taken in korea. there were transvestites doing a show at an outside carnival.

i miss the korean markets

Brian and I ate fresh fish by the ocean while we were in korea. it was not deboned, but it was still delicious. the bones were so tiny and delicate that it was easy to chew.

this past weekend i spent time with my dad, his new girl friend and my two brothers. my dad came down to glendale/phx for his birthday. i threw a big bbq feast. i carefully planned out my meal the day before he was to arrive. we barbequed rib eye steak, t-bone steak, brautwurst, hotdogs, corn on the cob and i made some homemade potatoe salad and fruit salad. i also bought a birthday cake from the fry's mercado. it's sorta in a ghetto neighborhood, but i love the way that they make cakes. they are almost like the ranch market and also the prices of their cakes are very reasonable. we spent most of our weekend playing with the wii. i love mario kart! well, i best be getting to bed. i've been running my ass off these couple of weeks because my family in korea fed brian and i so much that i gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks!!. yeah, freaking disgusting so i've been really watching what i've been eating and trying to stay really active. i'll leave you with pics of my aunt's wedding. she did traditional and korean.

we've been back home since sept. 20, but it took a lot of time to get adjusted again. they are 15 hrs ahead there. korea was an experience i will never forget. it's a whole different world out there. everything is so compact. we build our houses based on width they build their houses based on height. they also plant trees, fruits, and vegetables on their roof tops. another thing that i noticed that was unusual is that the kids are always in school. you could tell they were school kids because they are always in uniform. i saw kids walking home from school at around 7 or 8 at night and some of them even go to school on saturdays! one thing that i will miss the most about korea is the underground shopping, the markets, and all the fresh seafood! i was eating fresh crab for breakfast! brian and i were also in my aunt's wedding. what an experience! i hated how sticky and hot it was and how brian and i always got attacked by mosquitos. we are planning on going back in about 5 years because it's a place that i would love to visit again, but not a place i would live. i am so glad i was born in america. here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. i took over 2,000 pics.

Crab & kimchee for breakfast, yum!!

seafood galore!!

there gas was only $1.67. that is crazy!

korean bbq!

i hope you enjoyed. i will post random pics of korea every now and then. nite!

i have approximately 22 more days until i leave for korea, yay!!!! brian and i have been planning this for over year now. i can't wait until i can get away from work, the heat and just every thing all together. i haven't gone on a good long vacation in a very long time. i have some more things that i want to pick up this weekend. i bought a shit load of stuff that i can bring in the carry on bag. i even got some dramamine just in case i get sick. hehe!

These pictures are courtesy of my sister. she got stationed in korea in the beginning of june. i can't wait until our vacation to korea. we have probably a little over 60 days left. we got our passport a year ago and we bought some cool luggage this past weekend at ross. brian got a samsonite for $96.00 and i got a diane von furstenberg for $89.99. i'm experiencing some anxiety a bit, but i know i will live. this will be the first time i will be meeting my mother's family and also the first time flying out of the country.

a little video for ya'll to see....these are my mother's korean friends. this was taken last year on our trip to texas. i am so fascinated with the korean language. there is a lot of spit action going on there, just like the navajo language. I have no idea what they are talking about........

When we went back to the rez for my sister in-law's high school graduation, we took some pictures on our way to cortez, colorado. It's a cute, little town, but definitely not a town that i would live in. it sort of reminded me of a town that you would find in texas. some towns in texas are a little eerie for me. last year when we went for a visit to see my mother in killeen, texas we had to drive through small towns. and those towns reminded me of the movie the texas chain saw massacre. i felt very creepy and spooked to even stop in one of those towns for gas. the first gas station that we stopped at in texas they still had people smoking in the gas station! that was so weird to see. here in phx/glendale they banned smoking in restaurants and even bars! anyway, here's some pics for y'all to enjoy.

They say that this is a jail from back in the old days. this is located on the ute reservation. i don't know if this is true, but i thought it was cool to see. check out coco, she's being her nosey self as always.

The door was so darn heavy to push open!

The prisoners were held down there!

As I was taking a picture of the pit down below this freaking scared the shit out of me! it was a good thing that it was not poisonous because i was standing right next to it!

we saw this on our drive into cortez, colorado.

The Happening is so stupid! it was so bad that I have to make an entry about it to prevent anyone from seeing it. It was a complete waste of my time and money. I'm disappointed in Mark Wahlberg for even being in this movie. please do not see this movie and do not even rent it if it ever comes out on dvd/blu ray. i give this movie two thumbs down.
anyway, i'm so mad at the person who cut my hair at regis that is located at metro mall. i feel like marching down there and demanding my money back. i usually go to a certain person at the regis at the arrowhead mall, but for some reason i decided to try it at the metro mall about 3 weekends ago. i regret i ever did. i sorta knew there was something wrong with my cut because i tried to put my hair into a pouf and i noticed that when i looked in the mirror at the back of my head i saw that my hair was cut straight across in the middle of my head! my hair is layered like this:
this bitch totally jacked up my hair. i made an appt. with the girl that i usually see this past weekend and right away she knew that someone else had cut my hair. she had this horrific look on her face. she kept running her fingers into my hair asking me who in the world cut my hair. i wish i can call out the person that fucked up my hair, but i am not that EVIL. i even gave that bitch a big tip thinking that it was good. this bitch gave me a cut that did not even blend in. you get a neat blend when you cut the layers at an angle. the bitch like cut it straight across. the girl that i usually go to see managed to fix my hair though, but i had to sacrifice some length (2 in.) in order to do this, so now i just have to wait for it to grow back. hopefully, it will grow back before the korea trip.
anyway, enough of my hair. i just thought i'd share with you some wonderful mineral makeup. i've tried bare minerals, everyday minerals, and now buff'd cosmetics. i love buff'd cosmetics. I've been using the foundation every day since we got into the 100+ weather. i use it with MAC fix+ and it gives me a light, flawless, coverage. if i don't use the buff'd foundation then i am usually wearing MAC studio fix fluid in NC42. This stuff is wonderful, but i tend to stay away from it because of our 100+ weather. i feel like i'm melting when i am wearing it, but yeah, MAC studio fix fluid will always be my first love. i recommend using this if you want more coverage, but i also do suggest you use a face primer with this. i suggest using smash box face primer light (use this if you are oily and are acne prone) or you can also use MAC prep & prime or you can even use milk of magnesia (yes, you can use this. it actually works miracles! i use this a lot because it really absorbs the oil in my t-zone area) or you can also use the monistat chafing cream. (YES, you can also use this too. i know, you are thinking that is nasty, but it works! it has the ingredient dimethicone that can be found in face primers) Very interesting stuff! i've taken a liking for all things makeup. it calms my nerves and eases my stress, but my husband hates my spending habits. he is always asking me don't you have that color already? and i'm over here trying to convince him that it's a different shade of blue. i've been mentioning my birthday and makeup in the same sentence so hopefully he will get the hint and maybe give me a gift card or money to spend on makeup and accessories for my birthday!

i went to the rez about 2 weekends ago to see my sister in law graduate from high school. doesn't that sound weird, huh? yeah, she graduated from red mesa high school. she was planning on going to a college in texas earlier in the year, but things changed i guess. it is all because of a boy. i was really dissappointed in the change because she has so much potential. after all, brian calls her motor mouth. she can talk like crazy! i just hope she doesn't get pregnant and decide college isn't that important anymore. we'll see how things go. well, i went on a makeup craze again. i can't help but dive in the MAC & also mineral makeup craze. I bought some eyeshadow online from www.maccosmetics.com. i ordered some of the neo sci-fi collection. i love the bright orange packaging. i ordered femme-fi, evening aura, & magnetic fields. i already have expensive pink, you can find this in the permanent line anyways so it's not a limited edition. i just love those 3 colors and can't wait until i receive them in the mail. the shipping was free, so i decided to have them send it to my home. how coool is that!? anyways, i better get ready to exercise my butt off, i only have just about 3 months left until my trip to korea!!!! here's some photos from my rez trip.

I just got done running on the treadmill. My legs are stiff. I can run on the treadmill nonstop for 45 minutes now. If you were to ask me how long I could run on the treadmill 4 months ago i would probably tell you i can't. I'm trying to get myself fit by the time i leave for Korea this year. i think i am the healthiest i've ever been in my life! i can feel it too. i guess this is just a way of life for me now. i do splurge some days, but it's because i've either worked my ass off or sacrificed not eating certain things for a while. i also went to costco and stocked up on multi-vitamins and some flax seed pills. we'll see how that goes for awhile. brian and i are contemplating on whether we should go to seattle next month to visit my sister. she will be stationed in korea in the beginning of june. i would like to see her before she leaves. my only dilemma is where to keep my dog. i asked my aunt to care for her, but i've never left my dog with anyone before and i don't know how she would react. she's around brian and i all the time and is always traveling where ever we go. i tried to see if i could take her to seattle with us, but it costs an arm and a leg just to take her. it will cost $100 dollars to rent a crate, $100 dollars to seattle and $100 dollars back to phoenix. also, i would have to take her to the vet to get her checked out and you have to have proof of that with a health certificate. it is too much of a hassle and too much money. also you have to call the airline to make sure they even have room for my dog to get on both ways. it sucks! it would have been really cool if we could take her though.
i haven't bought much makeup lately. i have to use what i have for a while. my eyeshadow collection is beginning to overflow out of it's huge storage container. i think i will only splurge on high end makeup for my foundation, eye primer, and brushes. i would like to collect all the MAC brushes. the most expensive brush i have is the mac 187. that sucker costed me 42 bucks and some change ,but it is so worth it. well, i better get ready for bed. at least tomorrow is friday and soon the weekend will finally be here. i will leave you with pics of my BFF (best friend forever). check out all her white whiskers!
