we've been having some really shitty weather here. one day it got up to 80 degrees and then the next day it's cold as hell. right now i'm sitting on my bed freezing my ass off. my dog is snoring so loud too. she sleeps on her dog bed on the floor. she is such a brat. my cat sleeps either on our legs our next to our feet. sometimes during the night i feel myself kicking her off. hehehe! i'm not sure when i'm getting to bed tonight. it surely is way past my bed time. i can feel tomorrow is going to be one shitty day. my coworker took the day off to attend a birthday party on the rez. when she is gone it is up to me to do her job as well as mine.

tomorrow is friday. brian and i usually make it a point to try and go out to eat on friday nights. last friday, we ate at a korean restaurant. brian had some kalbi and i felt like eating soup, so i ordered some bean paste soup and then to top it off we also had some korean pancake. i felt like such a freaking pig. i'm not sure where we are going to go tomorrow. i heard about some las vegas style buffet that opened up in peoria not too long ago. we might have to try that out tomorrow, but i'm still not too sure. i have a craving for some seafood. well, i better try and get ready for bed. good night!

this picture was taken in korea of course. don't you wish you were born a cat. i thought this was so cute!

happy new year! It's been a long time since i last posted. i don't like sitting in front of the computer. i sit at a computer all day at work and it really makes me not want to sit at a computer when i get home. i spend most of my time now running/walking on the treadmill, watching my recorded shows on the dvr, working out with wii fit, taking my dog on walks and basically just trying to keep myself active.
Nothing much really is going on currently in my life. it is the same routine 7 days a week. the weekdays are dedicated to going to work, coming back from work at the end of the day, cooking dinner/getting take out, excercising and catching up on recorded shows on the dvr. the weekend is when brian and i can roam. we usually treat our selves to a new restaurant or even a favorite. sometimes we go to the movies, roam goodwill/yard sales, go to the mall and shop or visit friends or family. it is basically the same routine probably 365 days a year. haha! we have no children so we are basically free to do as we wish. our only babies are my cat and dog.
next week is brian's 31st birthday. i am planning on cooking for him. i think we have been eating out too much lately so he requested home cooked food for his birthday. i'm not sure exactly what i am going to make. i am leaning more towards navajo tacos. we haven't had that in ages. i have this wonderful bbq that has a burner. i don't ever have to make frybread in the kitchen again! how awesome is that? i dislike how the wafting smell of burnt grease can get into every thing you own. i don't have that problem anymore. hey, speaking of fry bread, about 2 weeks ago a coworker and i were coming back from lunch and we saw this new eatery called the sacred hogan. they are located on 8th street and indian school. i think it is navajo owned, but i'm not too sure. they serve mutton and several other navajo cuisine there so i don't doubt that it is navajo owned, but anyway i thought that was cool to see since it is probably the first in phoenix. i've tried their frybread and it is very good!
well, my eyes are getting pretty dry sitting here so i will leave here with a few more photos

This was taken in korea. there were transvestites doing a show at an outside carnival.

i miss the korean markets

i went to the rez about 2 weekends ago to see my sister in law graduate from high school. doesn't that sound weird, huh? yeah, she graduated from red mesa high school. she was planning on going to a college in texas earlier in the year, but things changed i guess. it is all because of a boy. i was really dissappointed in the change because she has so much potential. after all, brian calls her motor mouth. she can talk like crazy! i just hope she doesn't get pregnant and decide college isn't that important anymore. we'll see how things go. well, i went on a makeup craze again. i can't help but dive in the MAC & also mineral makeup craze. I bought some eyeshadow online from www.maccosmetics.com. i ordered some of the neo sci-fi collection. i love the bright orange packaging. i ordered femme-fi, evening aura, & magnetic fields. i already have expensive pink, you can find this in the permanent line anyways so it's not a limited edition. i just love those 3 colors and can't wait until i receive them in the mail. the shipping was free, so i decided to have them send it to my home. how coool is that!? anyways, i better get ready to exercise my butt off, i only have just about 3 months left until my trip to korea!!!! here's some photos from my rez trip.

I decided to sit at the computer tonight. It seems so strange to actually sit at home and sit in front of the computer. It's different when I am at work. I need a vacation. I think in August Brian and I are going to plan our vacation. I'm thinking we could go see my mom in Killeen, TX. I haven't seen her in about 3 years and before that was like 15 or 16 years. I know, we are not that close, but it sure is nice to see her when I do.

I took that picture of window rock when I went home to see my dad and also I had a wedding I had to go to in Kayenta.

my cat died, shit......

I'm still here. I just don't have the time to sit down in front of a computer and enjoy anymore. I mainly use it for work purposes. I did start a new career and at first I thought it was the biggest mistake of my life. I mean for a minute there I was actually coming home and sobbing, wondering if I made the right decision and also wondering if people these days can actually be so rude and so damn shallow, but so far, I've made it. People keep telling me that if it's going to be like that that I shouldn't be there to make friends, but to work. Yeah, that is easier than said, because we all know that we still have to work with these people. Anyway, I think they got used to the fact that I'm there. At first, it was like I was all up in their space. You can tell that they absolutely didn't want me there. I don't know if it was because I took up their space, I came in with a title higher that most working there, or if it was just me that they didn't like. It was crazy in the beginning. I was truely depressed. I miss my old coworker from my past job. We are so close. We worked together for the past 3 jobs that we had and to have her not there is very different. I think we worked a total of 10 years together. I'm going to try and get her in where i'm currently working now, but the way things are going, I don't know if she would like to go through what I went through. Anyway, I'm staying because of the pay. The boss would have to actually fire me in order for me to leave. Those people there can do all that they can to get me to want to leave, but I won't. I won't let them get to me like they did before. I'm better than them.

We are looking into selling the house. We need more space and I want a big back yard. We have a dog now and I want her to roam freely without having to be indoors all the time. I'm not sure when we are going to. We've been talking about it and we're thinking about early next year. We will just have to see.

So far so good. I'm taking it one step at a time and so far I'm doing well. You can say that I have changed my ways and am making more healthier choices, but every once in a while I do treat myself out to a little sumthin' sumthin'. Now with that said, I feel so much better.

Life is swell. Brian and I have made some life changing decisions and now we and other people are finally noticing our accomplishments. They are so proud and keep urging us on. It feels so good. I don't understand why we didn't make this change a long time ago. Why did it have to be a life or death situation?

Anyway, on another note....the dog is almost human. She freaks me out every day. It's eerie. I've never had a house dog before and just watching her makes me wonder if she is really a human trapped in a puppy's body. There's little things that she does that makes me have to take a second look at what she's doing. For example, she plays with ALL of her toys. She carries them from one bed to the other. She has a bed upstairs and a bed that is placed in the kitchen by the laundry room. She won't let her toys lay on the floor she keeps them in her bed. Another example is when she eats her dry food she tends to scoop them into her mouth and drop it into her water and then eventually eats her food like cereal. I've never had an indoor dog and I've never had a dog that's so smart. She amazes me every day.

Tomorrow is our Christmas Pot Luck that we are having for our department. I bought a crock pot for the gift exchange. I hope who ever gets it puts it to good use because I was almost about to keep that gift...LOL. I think I might swing by the mall this weekend and buy one. I bought that crock pot during the after thanksgiving sales. By the way, I did go crazy that weekend. I was up at 4am. I put on my running shoes and was ready to shop til I drop. I get to leave from work after the party, so tomorrow is going to be a short day.

P.S. wearing braces hurts like a bitch
