Brian and I ate fresh fish by the ocean while we were in korea. it was not deboned, but it was still delicious. the bones were so tiny and delicate that it was easy to chew.

this past weekend i spent time with my dad, his new girl friend and my two brothers. my dad came down to glendale/phx for his birthday. i threw a big bbq feast. i carefully planned out my meal the day before he was to arrive. we barbequed rib eye steak, t-bone steak, brautwurst, hotdogs, corn on the cob and i made some homemade potatoe salad and fruit salad. i also bought a birthday cake from the fry's mercado. it's sorta in a ghetto neighborhood, but i love the way that they make cakes. they are almost like the ranch market and also the prices of their cakes are very reasonable. we spent most of our weekend playing with the wii. i love mario kart! well, i best be getting to bed. i've been running my ass off these couple of weeks because my family in korea fed brian and i so much that i gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks!!. yeah, freaking disgusting so i've been really watching what i've been eating and trying to stay really active. i'll leave you with pics of my aunt's wedding. she did traditional and korean.

we've been back home since sept. 20, but it took a lot of time to get adjusted again. they are 15 hrs ahead there. korea was an experience i will never forget. it's a whole different world out there. everything is so compact. we build our houses based on width they build their houses based on height. they also plant trees, fruits, and vegetables on their roof tops. another thing that i noticed that was unusual is that the kids are always in school. you could tell they were school kids because they are always in uniform. i saw kids walking home from school at around 7 or 8 at night and some of them even go to school on saturdays! one thing that i will miss the most about korea is the underground shopping, the markets, and all the fresh seafood! i was eating fresh crab for breakfast! brian and i were also in my aunt's wedding. what an experience! i hated how sticky and hot it was and how brian and i always got attacked by mosquitos. we are planning on going back in about 5 years because it's a place that i would love to visit again, but not a place i would live. i am so glad i was born in america. here's some pics for your viewing pleasure. i took over 2,000 pics.

Crab & kimchee for breakfast, yum!!

seafood galore!!

there gas was only $1.67. that is crazy!

These pictures are courtesy of my sister. she got stationed in korea in the beginning of june. i can't wait until our vacation to korea. we have probably a little over 60 days left. we got our passport a year ago and we bought some cool luggage this past weekend at ross. brian got a samsonite for $96.00 and i got a diane von furstenberg for $89.99. i'm experiencing some anxiety a bit, but i know i will live. this will be the first time i will be meeting my mother's family and also the first time flying out of the country.

a little video for ya'll to see....these are my mother's korean friends. this was taken last year on our trip to texas. i am so fascinated with the korean language. there is a lot of spit action going on there, just like the navajo language. I have no idea what they are talking about........

When we went back to the rez for my sister in-law's high school graduation, we took some pictures on our way to cortez, colorado. It's a cute, little town, but definitely not a town that i would live in. it sort of reminded me of a town that you would find in texas. some towns in texas are a little eerie for me. last year when we went for a visit to see my mother in killeen, texas we had to drive through small towns. and those towns reminded me of the movie the texas chain saw massacre. i felt very creepy and spooked to even stop in one of those towns for gas. the first gas station that we stopped at in texas they still had people smoking in the gas station! that was so weird to see. here in phx/glendale they banned smoking in restaurants and even bars! anyway, here's some pics for y'all to enjoy.

They say that this is a jail from back in the old days. this is located on the ute reservation. i don't know if this is true, but i thought it was cool to see. check out coco, she's being her nosey self as always.

The door was so darn heavy to push open!

The prisoners were held down there!

As I was taking a picture of the pit down below this freaking scared the shit out of me! it was a good thing that it was not poisonous because i was standing right next to it!

we saw this on our drive into cortez, colorado.

The Happening is so stupid! it was so bad that I have to make an entry about it to prevent anyone from seeing it. It was a complete waste of my time and money. I'm disappointed in Mark Wahlberg for even being in this movie. please do not see this movie and do not even rent it if it ever comes out on dvd/blu ray. i give this movie two thumbs down.
anyway, i'm so mad at the person who cut my hair at regis that is located at metro mall. i feel like marching down there and demanding my money back. i usually go to a certain person at the regis at the arrowhead mall, but for some reason i decided to try it at the metro mall about 3 weekends ago. i regret i ever did. i sorta knew there was something wrong with my cut because i tried to put my hair into a pouf and i noticed that when i looked in the mirror at the back of my head i saw that my hair was cut straight across in the middle of my head! my hair is layered like this:
this bitch totally jacked up my hair. i made an appt. with the girl that i usually see this past weekend and right away she knew that someone else had cut my hair. she had this horrific look on her face. she kept running her fingers into my hair asking me who in the world cut my hair. i wish i can call out the person that fucked up my hair, but i am not that EVIL. i even gave that bitch a big tip thinking that it was good. this bitch gave me a cut that did not even blend in. you get a neat blend when you cut the layers at an angle. the bitch like cut it straight across. the girl that i usually go to see managed to fix my hair though, but i had to sacrifice some length (2 in.) in order to do this, so now i just have to wait for it to grow back. hopefully, it will grow back before the korea trip.
anyway, enough of my hair. i just thought i'd share with you some wonderful mineral makeup. i've tried bare minerals, everyday minerals, and now buff'd cosmetics. i love buff'd cosmetics. I've been using the foundation every day since we got into the 100+ weather. i use it with MAC fix+ and it gives me a light, flawless, coverage. if i don't use the buff'd foundation then i am usually wearing MAC studio fix fluid in NC42. This stuff is wonderful, but i tend to stay away from it because of our 100+ weather. i feel like i'm melting when i am wearing it, but yeah, MAC studio fix fluid will always be my first love. i recommend using this if you want more coverage, but i also do suggest you use a face primer with this. i suggest using smash box face primer light (use this if you are oily and are acne prone) or you can also use MAC prep & prime or you can even use milk of magnesia (yes, you can use this. it actually works miracles! i use this a lot because it really absorbs the oil in my t-zone area) or you can also use the monistat chafing cream. (YES, you can also use this too. i know, you are thinking that is nasty, but it works! it has the ingredient dimethicone that can be found in face primers) Very interesting stuff! i've taken a liking for all things makeup. it calms my nerves and eases my stress, but my husband hates my spending habits. he is always asking me don't you have that color already? and i'm over here trying to convince him that it's a different shade of blue. i've been mentioning my birthday and makeup in the same sentence so hopefully he will get the hint and maybe give me a gift card or money to spend on makeup and accessories for my birthday!

i went to the rez about 2 weekends ago to see my sister in law graduate from high school. doesn't that sound weird, huh? yeah, she graduated from red mesa high school. she was planning on going to a college in texas earlier in the year, but things changed i guess. it is all because of a boy. i was really dissappointed in the change because she has so much potential. after all, brian calls her motor mouth. she can talk like crazy! i just hope she doesn't get pregnant and decide college isn't that important anymore. we'll see how things go. well, i went on a makeup craze again. i can't help but dive in the MAC & also mineral makeup craze. I bought some eyeshadow online from www.maccosmetics.com. i ordered some of the neo sci-fi collection. i love the bright orange packaging. i ordered femme-fi, evening aura, & magnetic fields. i already have expensive pink, you can find this in the permanent line anyways so it's not a limited edition. i just love those 3 colors and can't wait until i receive them in the mail. the shipping was free, so i decided to have them send it to my home. how coool is that!? anyways, i better get ready to exercise my butt off, i only have just about 3 months left until my trip to korea!!!! here's some photos from my rez trip.

I just got done running on the treadmill. My legs are stiff. I can run on the treadmill nonstop for 45 minutes now. If you were to ask me how long I could run on the treadmill 4 months ago i would probably tell you i can't. I'm trying to get myself fit by the time i leave for Korea this year. i think i am the healthiest i've ever been in my life! i can feel it too. i guess this is just a way of life for me now. i do splurge some days, but it's because i've either worked my ass off or sacrificed not eating certain things for a while. i also went to costco and stocked up on multi-vitamins and some flax seed pills. we'll see how that goes for awhile. brian and i are contemplating on whether we should go to seattle next month to visit my sister. she will be stationed in korea in the beginning of june. i would like to see her before she leaves. my only dilemma is where to keep my dog. i asked my aunt to care for her, but i've never left my dog with anyone before and i don't know how she would react. she's around brian and i all the time and is always traveling where ever we go. i tried to see if i could take her to seattle with us, but it costs an arm and a leg just to take her. it will cost $100 dollars to rent a crate, $100 dollars to seattle and $100 dollars back to phoenix. also, i would have to take her to the vet to get her checked out and you have to have proof of that with a health certificate. it is too much of a hassle and too much money. also you have to call the airline to make sure they even have room for my dog to get on both ways. it sucks! it would have been really cool if we could take her though.
i haven't bought much makeup lately. i have to use what i have for a while. my eyeshadow collection is beginning to overflow out of it's huge storage container. i think i will only splurge on high end makeup for my foundation, eye primer, and brushes. i would like to collect all the MAC brushes. the most expensive brush i have is the mac 187. that sucker costed me 42 bucks and some change ,but it is so worth it. well, i better get ready for bed. at least tomorrow is friday and soon the weekend will finally be here. i will leave you with pics of my BFF (best friend forever). check out all her white whiskers!

i've been on the computer all night loading stuff on my laptop. i bought this laptop in September and i have not added all the stuff that i use on this. i just added my handycam software and was able to load all my videos that i had saved. hopefully, my laptop does not crash because i have not burned them to discs yet. well, from what i read from my last post i was trying to look for some good foundation. i think i have found it. it is very expensive, but is worth it. i ended up getting MAC studio fix fluid. it is such a wonderful product. it is best applied with a MAC 190 brush. i also bought the blot powder. the two works miracles for my face. it minimizes my pores and makes my face almost flawless. since i was at MAC shopping i also picked up some eyeshadow. i don't remember all the names, but i picked up espresso, down brown, expensive pink, trax and well, i don't remember the rest. i really like trax. i sound obsessed with makeup huh? well, i am. i got rid of one addiction and turned onto another. it is so sad, but oh so true for me.
my dad came down to phoenix for the high school state playoffs. it was really nice seeing the whole family again. i took some video clips of the girls when they were practicing. i will leave you with a little clip to watch. please do not make fun of my video editing skills. this is actually my second time editing a video. good night for now!

**** EDIT***** I exchanged the MAC 190 brush for the MAC 187. Great investment and flawless coverage!

I was up since 4:30 this morning. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so i've been surfing the net. I am becoming very obcessed with makeup, makeup brushes & accessories. It is becoming ridiculous. I am now eyeing the shu eumera eye lash curler. I hear so much great reviews about this curler. i think I know why i am up this early, it is because my husband is at work today and my intentions is to sneak off to sephora and see what I could buy. hehehe....I actually want to look for a really good foundation. I have such oily skin in my t-zone area and so far what helps is using the smash box face primer or i also use a thin layer of milk of magnesia on my t-zone area and finish it off with a powder foundation. I have been using a loreal powder foundation, but I would like a flawless coverage without looking like i have a caked face full of makeup. i was thinking of trying MAC studio tech foundation or the georgio armani luminous skin foundation or even the every day minerals foundation. I want to find a foundation that will give me flawless coverage. if anyone has some great suggestions i would really love to hear them. another thing that i love so much is the urban decay primer potion. it keeps your eyeshadow from creasing and makes your eyeshadow last all day. I love love this and will never stop using it. Some products that i use that are affordable is NYX and milani. They have high pigments, NYX has been said to be a cheap alternative to MAC eyeshadow. I'm not saying all of MAC eyeshadow, but some. I really love hunting down these products out here in arizona since NYX and milani are scarce here and sometimes i am forced to order from online. I also use any other affordable product that you can find at target, walmart, cvs...it just depends on my taste. my husband has been noticing my binge on my makeup and has commented on it. i feel guilty for buying, but it has absolutely become an addiction. when we go to a store, such as target, the the aisle i go to is makeup. i had to buy these miniature countertop drawers to store some of my makeup. These are very handy and i love them. I store all my makeup brushes in the first drawer, eyeliners, eye lash curlers - basically anything i use for my eyes and then the 3rd drawer i use for anything i use for my face, such as foundation, tinted moisterizers etc. well, i better go eat some breakfast take a shower and make my way out the door. i don't plan on spending too much today. i will get in trouble if i do...haha. i don't have to work on monday because it is martin luther king day so that is wonderful!

Here's a little something i made this morning since i was bored. i didn't add too much but will make something similar again soon

Happy New Year!

brian and i didn't do anything for the new year. we were planning on going to his cousin's house, but i think we intentionally kept delaying it until we both fell asleep. i woke up way past 12 am. It was 2:30 am and the new year was long gone. i think partying until we puked our guts was not on our agenda this year. the problem is that we've had family come into town two weekends in a row. so there was a lot of cooking, shopping-which required hours of walking from one store to another and staying up late with the family. i think that two weeks of doing this really pooped us out and made us want to spend time by ourselves relaxing and sleeping.

For christmas, my dad and brother's came into town. it was really nice spending time with my family again. i bought a honey baked ham this year. it was so delicious. if you never tried it i suggest that you do. it is worth the money. I also purchased some of the sides that they offered. i got the mac and cheese and i'm thinking it is a sweet potatoe casserole. i'm not sure, but it was so delicious! i would have secretly eaten this all if no on was looking....haha!...

brian's family came on december 28 and stayed until new years eve. that was another aerobic workout! we went from one store to another shopping like crazy. we ended up at ikea by the end of the day pooped out, hungry, and tired. brian's mom babied us. she cooked most of the meals. she brought a lamb leg from teec nos pos and boy did we have some good lamb stew with fry bread. yum! she threw in some dumplings and added a few squash and carrots. it was full of carbs, but i really didn't give a crap. so because of all the bad eating from the holidays i did some extra running on the treadmill tonight.

well, i better get ready for bed. good night. i'll leave you with a crappy cell phone pic of my dog coco in her hot pink coat. she has practically no hair, so when i go back to the rez we have to put this on her so she can run around outside.
